Internacional (Marketwired, 12 de Agosto de 2013) Today Phoenix Software International announced the upcoming release of zHISR® 2.0, an update to the company's mainframe software consumption measurement and analysis tool. zHISR interfaces directly with z/OS Hardware Instrumentation Services on IBM® System z10® or zEnterprise® processors to collect data for hotspot analysis of customer, vendor, or operating system program execution. The new release will be generally available on September 20, 2013 and will offer many advanced features when run under z/OS V2.1. Significant new features in zHISR 2.0 include:
Support for up to 128 simultaneous data collection events. zHISR collections do not interfere with any HIS functions including sample or counter collection.
System console commands for many zHISR functions.
An Application Programming Interface to COBOL and Assembler for starting and stopping data collections. Collection lengths for API generated collections have a time range of one second or more.
Automatic initiation of collections a specified number of times when a described job enters the system.
Ability to schedule a collection with JCL so that collection starts when a given job or step begins.
Ability to store data collections as z/OS data sets. Previously, only UNIX files were supported.
Support for collections against CICS/TS transactions.
Analysis based on a time range within the collected data for a narrower spotlight on problem code.
"The features in zHISR 2.0 make it easier to use and much more versatile. Now program developers and system administrators can find problem code quicker and with more precision than ever before," said Fred Hoschett, Phoenix Software International President.
