Nearly 2,000 students competed for the scholarship.

"This year we wanted to hear how tomorrow's leaders felt today's education system could better prepare them for the future," said Mark Adams,'s Editor-in-Chief. "Aaron-Micheal stood out for his ability to succinctly identify an issue while providing a logical solution that would help bridge the gap between education and employment. It was a perfect fit for the CEO of Tomorrow scholarship."

Blackman is majoring in Systems and Computer Science. Among his extracurricular activities, he enjoys reading, tutoring other students and training with Howard University's Taekwondo club. He expects to graduate in the spring of 2014.
