For over 50 years, Huntington Village Pediatrics has been has been providing top quality medical care to the children of the Huntington community and surrounding areas. The practice, run by Drs. Cohen, Caravella and Meltzer, will continue to provide the same high quality pediatric care to infants, children and adolescents.

Salvatore J. Caravella, M.D., board-certified in Pediatrics and Neonatology, joined the practice in 1988 after a three year research fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center. During his fellowship, he participated in numerous research endeavors and is well published in the pediatric medical literature. After his arrival in Huntington, his main goal was to modernize the neonatology service at Huntington Hospital, which came to fruition in 1994. Today, he concentrates his efforts to educate on newborn, infant and child health through appropriate nutrition, parental guidance, and promotion of healthy lifestyles and exercise. Dr. Caravella is a member of the American Medical Association, the New York State Medical Society, the New York Pediatric Society, the Suffolk County Medical Society, the Suffolk County Pediatric Society and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Martin B. Cohen, M.D., has been enthusiastically caring for children in the community for over forty years. He attended college at New York University and went on to receive his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his Pediatric Residency training at Meadowbrook Hospital. Dr. Cohen has served on the Huntington Hospital Medical Board and has been an active member of the hospital staff for over thirty years, serving on multiple committees during his tenure. Dr. Cohen is a member of the New York Pediatric Society, the Suffolk Pediatric Society and The Suffolk County Medical Society.

Eve Meltzer Krief, M.D., joined the practice in 1999. Dr. Meltzer attended Undergraduate School at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where she majored in Comparative Literature. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel-Aviv and completed her Pediatric Residency training at Schneider Children's Hospital of Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Meltzer is a member of The Medical Society of the State of New York, The Suffolk County Medical Society, the Suffolk Pediatric Society and is a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics.
